PYBFF | Pop Up Event 101
All about Lobster
Hello, hello,
As I said a few weeks ago on Instagram, let me talk to you about a great project I had the chance to work on. A few months ago, I have been contacted by the Canadian food journalist Michael-Ann Rowe, to be a part of her concept, derived from her new seafood series “Put Your Best Fish Forward.” But let me introduce her to you: Michael-Ann has been living in New York for the past 25 years and won an Emmy Award for “Off the Beaten Palate”. I strongly encourage you to go visit her YouTube page as well as her amazing website.
Her new concept is interactive diners about lobster. In a nice decor and while having a lot of a few glasses of wine, our “Fishionista” offers you a few delicious homemade seafood dishes (crudo, ceviche and whole lobster, for this first time) as well as a lot of tips and tricks. How to eat an entire lobster without wasting half of the meat? How to choose the right piece of seafood at your local store? Between the videos, live demos and laughs, you are ensured to have a great time!
So, she offered me to join her in that crazy adventure, and let me tell you it did not take a long time before saying yes to her! We prepared together the first “Pop Up Event 101”. I worked as a Visual Event Coordinator, which means I managed the design and the installation of the event and that I had a great US style job title! That’s my job, that’s what I love to do and I know how to do it. But, Michael-Ann also offered me my first professional photography opportunity and it is scared to death with a little apprehension that I shot that event!
And the event was a huge success! Therefore, I am really happy to announce that baby “Pop Up” is growing up fast and that the second event is already in progress. It will be taking place on Tuesday 22nd September, at 7:30 pm, at Perk Café, in New York. All the info are here.
If you want to be a part of it, you can register on the website, or email me directly. Also, if you need more information, if you have any questions, or if you want to tell me that you love me (I love you, too!), don’t hesitate and use the Contact form on the blog! (And hurry, there are only two spots left!)
C’est génial pour toi !
