Being wowed | Street art in Bushwick

A few Sundays ago, I decided to take advantage of the sun to go see the street art in Bushwick (Brookly), which was on my bucket list since forever. And it was amazing!

It’s the perfect family activity now that the weather is getting better again!

How to get there? ASubway line L to Jefferson Avenue. You can then wander around by foot. Most of the pieces of art are located between Flushing, Cypress, Dekalb et Wycoff avenues.

When? On a sunny day.

Price? $2.75 one way (with your metro card).

Doing what?

  • See the street art
  • On your way back, stop in Williamsburg (line L, Bedford stop)
  • For the sporty ones, you can cross the Williamsburg bridge The side facing upper Manhattan is supposed to be for biking only, but if you walk on the extreme right of the sidewalk, you should be ok – and it’s definetely worth it! Worst case scenario, play the “tourist”card, it works 🙂 )

For who?

  • Everyone.
  • The photographers

Infrastructures? You’ll find delis and south american restaurant in the eastern part of  Bushwick. Once in the gentrified part of Williamsburg, you’ll find absolutely everything you can think of. Most of the thrifts shops are located in the least gentrified area.
